We are one of the best value nanny agencies in the country, but we do not cut corners on professionalism.
Why use an agency?
Ultimately the most important reason for using an agency is for safety. Not a lot of people know that when a CRB check is printed it is immediately out of date. So seeing somebody's CRB check from 2 years ago is not an up to date record of their criminal record.
To get an up to date check completed a nanny can not apply for one themselves. It has to be completed through an agency or organisation. We can help them with this for peace of mind so that you have up to date information. Without it you can never be sure!
Including the above we also will undoubtedly save you time. We short list applicants who meet with your requirements, we reference check all nannies and we also offer help and advice on things such as tax,national insurance and contracts.
All our child carers are thoroughly checked, we do not put forward to interview any nanny who has not had their identity checked, had references taken up and where possible been interviewed by our consultants.
HELP I need a nanny, what do I do next?
Your local consultant will then call you to discuss the position further.
We will then select from our current nannies the ones who meet as much of your requirements as possible and send you a detailed profile about each one.
We will also include a family pack which tells you a little more about us, our fees and terms.
You can then look through them at you leisure. If there is anyone who stands out that you would like to interview we will then liaise with them to arrange this at a mutually convenient time for you both. We suggest that you interview all nannies personally to make sure that your personalities are suited.
Only when you are completely satisfied with your selection will we offer you a specimen contract to adapt and then sign with your nanny. We will then invoice you for our finders fee. If required we can also advise you on tax and national insurance costs and procedures.

If you are able to claim some costs back you will need to employ an Ofsted Registered nanny.
There is a shortage of Ofsted nannies however we can assist most nannies in becoming Ofsted registered.
Nanny share is also an option. Maybe you know somebody who is also looking for a nanny. You could share the nanny and the costs!
Au pairs can often be a cheaper way of getting help around the house and with the children. Au pairs work for a small amount of pocket money plus accommodation.

Dealing with someone who is local
We feel that it is important to be able to deal with someone who is local to you and who has been a nanny before.
Our consultants cover no more than a couple of counties so that they can offer you a personal service. Many of our consultants are mothers and have been nannies so know how important the decision is.

Tax & NI
National Nannies works in conjunction with NannyPaye.
The sole purpose of NannyPaye service is to take away from busy parents the stress and hassle of running a payroll for their employee,dealing with HM Revenue and Customs and producing a monthly wage slip for your nanny. To achieve this they have put together a comprehensive service that covers both payroll and employment laws.

Terms & Conditions
Payments
When you are satisfied with your choice of child carer we will arrange for you to sign contracts. When this is completed we will send you an invoice. You have 7 days to pay the invoice from the date on it. Payments can be made either by cheque or by BACS, please contact us for details. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.
